People who didn't get the flu vaccine and hasn't contract the flu check in thread.

I got the flu vaccine in 2016 while still at LSU. Barely a month later, I got the flu. Haven't gotten the vaccine since and I've not gotten the flu.
I will no longer allow that "vaccine" to be put into my body. I'm just clean and practice good hygiene and that works. Constantly washing my hands, avoid using public railings and door handles as much as possible, opting to not shake hands, etc. Also not touching my face as much while not at home.
Anyone else doing the same?

Exposure strengthens your immune system, assuming your otherwise healthy and don’t have a compromised immune system.

In my entire adult life, I only got the flu vaccine once. Within weeks, I had the flu. That has been the only year I have had the flu since my junior year of high school. I am 41.

I am 61. Received the flu shot twice in the 80s. Got the flu both years I received shot within days. Have not received shot, have not had flu. Frick the shot. I also have not seen a Doctor besides receiving neck surgery since 1973.

Scruffy got the flu vaccine, has interacted with people with the flu multiple days a week for the past 3 months, and he hasn’t gotten the flu.

I got the vaccine once about two years ago and got the flu a month later. That’s the only time I’ve gotten the flu in at least the last 10 years.

Never gotten the flu shot and have only come down with the flu once in high school. It’s gonna bite me in the arse eventually but I’ll keep rolling with it until it does

Now that you mention it, I got the flu shot this year and about five years ago.
Guess when are the only two times I’ve gotten the flu, this year and about five years ago.
I may have gotten the flu shot a couple other times but no flu.

38 y/o, never had the flu. Always received the vaccine as a child, up until 17. Moved out @ 18, didn’t receive the vaccine again until 25 when I joined the military, and received it for the next 6 years. Haven’t received it since I got out.
