That’s a nice anecdote but I’ll rely on science to make my judgement.

Then you should read more and follow the money. If you are blindly following what “large pharma” tells you to do you are being foolish and definitely not following good science.

Following message board and social media posters because of evil “large pharma” isn’t my cup of tea either. I’ve spoken to several infectious docs about this matter and I guarantee you, those guys aren’t rolling in the vaccine cash by any means.

Not an anti-vaxxer on MMR or other real vaccines but the flu vaccine is ineffective and it does contain mercury that can lead to Alzheimer’s. No flu vaccine for 10 years and no flu for 20. You either have an alpha immune system or you don’t.

This guy. My wife was upset at me for not getting the flu shot. I’ve proved her wrong for another season. Winning.

I'm crazy for not getting it. My Dr would seize up if she knew I didn't get it.

My wife’s job requires her to have it, so she gets one every year. I haven’t had one since high school. To my knowledge, neither of us have ever tested positive for the flu.

The flu shot is a prediction of what strains might come—sometimes they guess wrong. 20% efficacy is still better than 0%.

Got the flu shot back in ‘89. Didn’t get the flu but I caught the crabs.

Just bragging I had sex back in ‘89.

It is amazing how humans were able to survive the 6,000+ years we have been around before flu vaccines and the like were invented.

And in that time, life expectancy went from 33 to 80...

What a coincidence, right?

I’ve never gotten the flu vaccine and I don’t ever plan to.
I figure if there’s a 50% chance that if I get the vaccine I still end up with the flu anyway and there’s a 50% I get the flu without getting the vaccine then I’ll take my 50% chance without getting stabbed with a needle

Im 38 with 3 kids and can’t remember ever having the flu either. And no, we most definitely are not anti-vaxxers. Just anti flu vaccine

Your math is off. Fine to roll the dice when you are young and healthy if you want. If you get over 50 you need to get over it and get the shot. The ICUs all over town are full of people who played your odds.

Comments like this one make me hope most of the posters in this thread are trolling.
