Following message board and social media posters because of evil “large pharma” isn’t my cup of tea either. I’ve spoken to several infectious docs about this matter and I guarantee you, those guys aren’t rolling in the vaccine cash by any means.

That's not what I did, a good friend of mine was one of the best epidemiologists in the world. So good he at one time was Top 5 at the FDA during the tail end of Bush I.

His view of vaccines were what did it for me. I am not anti-vaccine, but I am anti-over-vaccine. There are far, far too many vaccines being pumped into kids these days.

Had a flu shot. Haven’t had the flu. Work in a high school where one week we had about 80 kids out a day with flu-like symptoms.

32 years and counting on no flu vaccine and no flu. I have a feeling I’m going to get my wife pregnant in the next year or so and she’s going to be raising hell for me to get the flu shot, I will, then I’ll likely contract the flu. Happens every time to baws with elite immune systems like mine.

u guys realize the vaccine only covers a small percentage of viruses? so, your theory is not scientific.

I've never gotten a flu shot and I've never had the flu. I've gotten lucky, but it's never crossed my mind to be an anti-vax idiot. I do too many idiotic things already that don't go against scientific research.

In my entire adult life, I only got the flu vaccine once. Within weeks, I had the flu. That has been the only year I have had the flu since my junior year of high school. I am 41.

Late to the thread, but same case here.

Am 31, have had the flu shot ONCE in my life.

Shortly after getting the shot, it was the only time I've ever had the flu in my life.

ETA - it was about 2 months after getting the shot and confirmed to be the flu, doubters.

I don't think the flu shot gives you the flu, I just don't see a reason to get it if the ONE time I got the flu in my life it didn't help. It's more of a "why fix what isn't broken" policy for me.
