I got the flu vaccine in 2016 while still at LSU. Barely a month later, I got the flu. Haven't gotten the vaccine since and I've not gotten the flu.

Knock on wood, I haven’t gotten the flu in years. I also don’t have a kid that brings germs in the house and wash my hands a lot

I just like giving people shite about the flu shot.
It’s 2019....people should be getting their flu shot that is all.

Yeah it’s not 100% but whatever protection it gives is better than the 0 protection you get if you don’t get it. And if you do get the shot and still get the flu....chances are better that you will experience less severe symptoms than someone who didn’t get the shot and got the flu.

Also the whole protecting those vulnerable around you thing.

You do realize the pandemic comment is a joke?

Did not get the vaccine. Live with 2 people who were diagnosed with the flu this year. One did get the shot, the other didn't.

Did not get the vaccine, no flu. Been around quite a few people who have contracted the virus as well.

And in that time, life expectancy went from 33 to 80...

What a coincidence, right?
Wow what a leap of faith you did there bub. Vaccines let us live to 80? Amazing. Guess I'll just die when I get to 33 then. Oh wait, I'm still a live and no vaccines.

One of the few vaccines worth having but flu vaccines and the like are not needed.

Comments like this one make me hope most of the posters in this thread are trolling.
Why would god create us to get sick so easily and to die off so easily. I thought Jesus was supposed to be all the vaccine we needed to make it on this planet?

Wife and kids always get the shots, but they've all had the flu at some point.

I never get the shot, mainly because I'm lazy, and I've never had the flu.

Just checking back in here, looks like 7 pages of one particular poster giving the world hell about their choice to not buy into the flu shot. When it's a thread this long, and every other post is from one person, I now see how they got to 118 THOUSAND posts.

I have never had the flu shot and have never had the flu. I probably just destroyed that trend by typing this out on a public forum.

in 57 years i have never had the flu shot and have gotten the flu less then 5 times in all that time.

if you are an average healthy person you dont need flu shots

its the old and sick and weak who need it, not regular people

It's often those people who are too medically compromised to get the shot. Hence "herd immunity", something you should look up.

I'm 41 and have never had the flu. I've gotten the shot through work for the past 15 or so years
