Sounds like he was hooking up with a 15 year old player (or pursuing her) in clear view of a lot of people. Article mentions multiple reports by multiple people in multiple jurisdictions.
What a bizarre story all around. Obviously her comment isn't the main story here, but it does go to show how there is a massive swath of people in this country who just do not distinguish between good and bad attention. Any attention is good.

A lot of people talking about how it wasn't a big deal because some countries let you mess with 15 year olds.

Nothing like this but my wife and I have a couple friend with a couple of kids. The husband is pretty successful and the wife stayed at home. She wanted desperately to be an influencer.
She would post things that were embarrassing or should have been private family things to get clicks. She got up to about 10,000 followers and her husband had to pretty much say no more. She had the kids acting out scenes. She got to where she would do just about anything for more followers and more attention. She finally took an office job (I think her husband agreed to build a pool if she stopped it and went to work).
Its a mental crisis.
She would post things that were embarrassing or should have been private family things to get clicks. She got up to about 10,000 followers and her husband had to pretty much say no more. Police arrested him on July 3. The Netflix documentary trend started a couple weeks later and she got in on it after she had filed for divorce.
As others stated, she had a protective order, but he broke into their house, killed her and himself and their teenage son went next door and called 911.
