I don't have a LEGAL problem with him doing it. But he's an idiot and doing it only so his dumb flock can make their donations.
There is no religious reason for it.
Yep.
He probably figured he'd make more money by doing this and getting arrested, than not doing it.

The NT everywhere presupposes the followers of Jesus will gather.

one thing i don't get is this...
should we be following what the authorities say? should we be complying with police orders?
bc people always tell others that they should comply or die
yet in this instance they are encouraging and applauding people to not comply
Politics
Everything is political
The big bad media is out to get them. They have to do the EXACT opposite of the big bad media. fricking idiots in this state, and country, can’t come up with a rational thought. It’s either their first instinct, or the exact opinion of someone they don’t like.

As with most things on the OT, depends what day it is and it's a case by case basis.

There's a bit of a difference in telling someone to drop a weapon during a police stop and telling people they cant go to church.
I'm sorry you cant seperate the two.
alot on this board have always said just do what the cops say and there will be no trouble.
if a cop tells you to put the phone down, you do it, no? because there would be no trouble if you did.
yet you are now being encouraged to not comply with the police, who have their orders down from the government.
so again, selective compliance to fit what you want to comply with.

This guy is being a fricking idiot. This is nothing like the Holocaust, but please cling to that terrible analogy.
The Holocaust didnt start out as the Holocaust either and I'm not even really comparing this to that, I'm saying it has never worked out good for the citizens of a country when the government just does what it wants.

you blame people for government overreactions?
What's funny is Barr announced today the DOJ will step in and crack down on religious gatherings now nationwide. Yes, Trump's Barr.
Thoughts?

The government isn't "just doing what it wants" though. Morons like this pastor are going to force their hand with the attention whoring though.

I'm a church guy, former minister and elder in fact, but we did not have live church, use facebook live, and that is what every church should be doing right now.
This is irresponsible of them, and not what God would want them to do.

Whatever his motives it is his and their 1st Amendment RIGHT to gather for worship.
This is correct
He is also not a Pastor or Minister, he’s a Preacher & is doing this to make a name for himself, he’s not doing it for his congregation or community
