Spell claims he had 1,345 in attendance -- which he says is higher than his usual turnout. We say claims, because the congregation was rarely shown. We don't know if it was intentional, but the camera never showed more than a couple of rows of pews.

From a purely epidemiological standpoint, I would like to see what the infection or spread rate is among the people who gathered and whether that spread rate is substantially greater than that of the general quarantining population.

Some people act like this is some kind of stand up for Christ thing, but all it really is is a really bad witness, especially since Christ Himself instructed His followers to submit to their governing authority, and staying home and watching church service, or gathering with 2 or more in your home to pray and read the Bible IS church, not a building.

Yes and no. If this gets extended beyond April 30, expect this to happen more and more as people get tired of the chicken little mentality of what is going on. People are going to have to go back to normal life at some point before we cannot.
