There's a bit of a difference in telling someone to drop a weapon during a police stop and telling people they cant go to church

So the 1st amendment counts but the 2nd Amendment doesn't?

The Bill of Rights.

How complete . . .

So, in your opinion, there is no limit on the Free Exercise Clause?

From a purely epidemiological standpoint, I would like to see what the infection or spread rate is among the people who gathered and whether that spread rate is substantially greater than that of the general quarantining population.

If you are interested in how the Wuhan virus can spread in a church, look at this choir story.

They held choir practice. They didn't touch. They used hand sanitizer. 45 of the 60 choir members got the virus. Two are dead. (Death rate may be higher, this story is 2 weeks old.)

A choir practice is similar to church. In church, people sing, read responsively, and share the Peace. I would imagine a large church service would spread similarly.

Here's an interesting story on what likely lead to the breakout of it in Chicago. Bonus for you Trumpers...it's a fox news story.

LINK

quote:

It studies a patient, identified as A1.1, as he or she attends two gatherings – a funeral for a close family friend and a birthday for a family member in February. Through those interactions, A1.1 infected 16 people, which led to three deaths.

quote:

Prior to the funeral, A1.1 met with family of the deceased and shared a meal with them. Both at the meal and the funeral, A1.1 shared food with others, and engaged in hugging and handshaking.

Three days after the funeral, A1.1 attended a birthday party despite lingering respiratory symptoms. Seven of the nine attendees at the party ended up infected with COVID-19.

Pretty standard interactions that got high percentages of those in attendance infected.

You think that's the same as shutting down churches, preventing people from practicing religion, and freely assembling?

This is where you try to make a play on words to something that was purposefully wrote so it couldn't be abused.

Do you know what the Free Exercise Clause is?

I am asking you if there is any limit on it.

1A:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Sorry, I don't see how you can stretch that to fit the Wuhan Flu.

That’s called the Free Exercise Clause

That’s not what I asked. I asked if you believe there is any limit to it. Is there?
