Have family members that have went through them. Meds and medical help have Ben key to managing. As you say they are no joke.

Hang in there.

Alot of things trigger them and they dont have to be alcohol induced.

The first time I had one, I thought I was having a heart attack. Very scary feeling. If you feel one coming on, take slow, deep breaths. Medication also helps.

Just blame it on food poisoning like Ted Lasso did.

Hate to break it to you but your girl is currently planning her exit. You can’t look that soft in front of the one your supposed to protect.

My experience seems to be the opposite of everyone else here; I had a few when I was young, and age seems to have banished them. I also rarely drink alcohol, so perhaps that plays a part.

I agree that it's tough.

And it doesn't get easier as you get older.

You should quit drinking. That makes it worse.

Yep, it’s not funny when you feel like you’re going to black out.

Ever heard of a guy going to the emergency room because he thought he was having a heart attack but it was something else?

Guess what that something else is

I've had one panic attack and it was a giant one after hitting a joint too hard. My bpm felt like it was 300, not sure how my heart din't explode.

Never had one and one day going over the 610 bridge in Houston going to the medical center for a checkup.... A bridge I've done a billion times... out of nowhere BAM. My HR spiked. Hands sweaty. I thought I was going to wreck. Like the bridge structure was large and imposing...

Only times I’ve ever had a panic attack was on bridges…particularly the Sunshine bridge when they were working on it for a decade.

I’d white knuckle the steering wheel and would be drenched in sweat in seconds.
It’s not pleasant.

It is impossible to explain a panic attack to someone who has never had one.

My first one happened when I was in my early twenties. I had gone to my younger cousin's 4H awards ceremony in the gym of the local community college. We got there early and sat towards the top of the bleachers. As the crowd filtered in people began to fill in around us we moved up and back a bit. The more people came, the more I felt the entire world closing in. All I knew is I had to get out of there.

I said "I've gotta go!" to the people I was with and all but knocked other people out of my way. By the time I made it outside I was sweating profusely and out of breath. I sat down on the steps in front of the gym for about a while until I felt under control. I went to the car and drove home. It was terrible.

Same here man. Took me a little while to realize alcohol was causing severe depression and axiety.

I can think of a fairly easy solution right off the bat....

Spot on. I’m mostly ok if I have 1 or 2, but that’s enough. I have that many maybe once a week otherwise I feel like shite the entire next day.

Was anyone asking for any? Just pointing out what happened is what I thought. An observation.
