Panic attacks are no joke.

Just had a massive one in the airport that seemingly came out of nowhere. I’m very hungover and my anxiety during hangovers is typically high. Standing in TSA line about to put my bag on the conveyor and it just hit me like a wave. I started cold sweating, feeling dizzy, and hyperventilating. TSA ushered me through so I could go sit down. My girl brought me water and food. Slowly the symptoms went away, but now I feel like I got hit by a train.
When people talk about panic attacks, it’s something to take seriously and not dismiss as craziness. It really is a hellish experience.

Yeah, as I get older, I am getting terrible depression and anxiety the day after I drink.

Im always fascinated by laypeople and their experiences in airports terminals. Godspeed my dear fellow.

Only had one and it was wild. Bottle of tequila hangover will do that to you

Well yeah panic attacks are real, you had alcohol induced anxiety.
Stills sucks, I'm nearing 40 and never thought I was an anxious person. I got put on buspiron for something muscular and unrelated to anxiety. I recently stopped it and I realize just how much it was affecting me.

I had one working at height on a walk board and never did get over it completely and it felt like I didn't trust my legs.
The best I could do after was manage it by doing high work early. Sucked for sure.

Are you still out of work? I'm sure anxiety is high on that alone. Best of luck for you, brother.

Just kidding, had one 20 years ago it was absolutely frightening.

frick yea.
Never had one and one day going over the 610 bridge in Houston going to the medical center for a checkup....
A bridge I've done a billion times... out of nowhere BAM. My HR spiked. Hands sweaty. I thought I was going to wreck. Like the bridge structure was large and imposing...
Man it was terrible. I was so amped up after them finding a mass and going get results I guess I was keyed up enough for it got me.
Don't stop breathing you'll pass out.
Best way to stop them is big inhale through nose and slow breathe out mouth.
Sorry it happened OP.

I’ve only had one in my life, a couple of decades ago. I was on my way back on an international flight. About an hour left in the air, we hit a rough patch and I started feeling motion sick. All of a sudden, I froze. I couldn’t move. Everything felt fuzzy. But the weird part was that mentally, I felt fine. Thoughts weren’t racing, breathing was normal. I had no idea what was going on. I calmly sat there and thought through that I should tell the nice person sitting next to me what was happening, that I have no know medical issues or allergies, and ask if they could kindly alert the staff when we land that I could use medical assistance.
As I was working up the nerve to try to speak, I realized I could move my fingers. Very, very slowly, I was able to start to move my hands, then arms, on down.
Was about a half decade before I figured out that I had had a panic/anxiety attack. Has never happened since.

Is it your time of the month?

Protip: lots of electrolytes and bananas for starters and slowly ingest some starches.....
Source: I have horrible anxiety after drinking but have learned how to curve it.
But the reality is I can no longer (and will not) binge drink.

Part of the reason why I don’t really drink anymore. Had one hungover driving on I-10 going to Pensacola. Thought I was having a heart attack. Was by myself, pretty terrifying.

Literally never heard of a guy having one

A bridge
First one was on the way to Destin as I rounded the curve on the bridge in Mobile. It got worse until I finally had to see a doctor for medication.
I would get a chill down the spine and my head would spin. I had to focus to keep breathing. Occasionally I will still get a mental hesitation but not getting the physical reaction at this time

It's ok that's you've never heard of it, but it's very real and it does happen.
The good news is there's lots of things someone can do to help keep them at bay.

Hangxiety is horrendous. Almost worse than the headache
