Why won't people stop apologizing for things? Pussies

Am I the only one that thought "Oxygen" referred to some black rapper when they first read the title?

Rappers use it in a hateful context every day and people love it, but whitey uses it in a historical context and everyone loses their fricking minds.
You're right about this situation - th context in this case is harmless. However, the argument that rappers use it all the time is so dumb.

I definitely thought it was a person and not the atmospheric gas.

Dumb in what way? My point was that context matters and people getting upset over a word being used in appropriate context is asinine.

Odds there was not one black person in that room?

Give me a fricking break Vigo
You are seriously confused if you think Vigo said or wrote that. His Agent has a room full of PR people who come up with this shite. The issue is that he did a live interview and tried to talk like an actual thinking human being. And people jumped all over him. This is why some celebs are seen as stand offish assholes. Those are the ones who know it is easier to just do their jobs and not say shite outside of that.

He promised never to say it again.
They always bend the knee

It's a trashy word, used by trash people. It's never used in intelligent conversation or a compelling argument. We should recognize that it's just a good indicator of insecurity/stupidity/etc. and move on.
Wrong.
There are legitimate people to use that word on. People of all shades and backgrounds.

Speaking of words that set people off, I always felt the faux outrage over the word cvnt was ridiculous.

Yeah, there's no room for critical thinking skills in the world today

He was talking about a movie he's in that's set in the 1960's when the word was more commonplace. The context of him saying the n-word was simply pointing out something from the film, but of course the PC-obsessed media doesn't care about context and seeks only to destroy. I cannot imagine anyone in their right mind actually having a problem with what he said, how he said it, when and where. Yet, he will be raked over the coals for it.

I'd really like to know why it's worse for a white person to say N***** in the context of a discussion.
But it's completely acceptable for black people in altercations with other black people to call them the following....
frick-N*****
Bitch-N****
Pussy-arse-N****
N****

Negro is not even acceptable today I don't guess.
When I was a kid, "nig---" was common among both races. It got cleaned up to "nigra" in an effort to be more polite.
Then negro. Then black. Now African American.
I was talking to a black minister not long ago, a fine gent he is. I said something about "African Americans" and he immediately chastised me.
He said "to hell with 'African American'. Until we as a race start accepting we are all Americans we ain't going nowhere". What a statement from a black man and I agree.
He went on to say he'd preached to his congregation this same thing. Stop trying to be separate and be an American.

Don't care. Anyone can use the word anytime they want if they can deal with the consequences of using it. Complaining because someone can get away with it while others can't is equivalent to being a whiney child who only got 2 cookies when his brother got 3.

Does anybody else think people who give a word that much power are kinda weak.
It’s just a word.
I personally do but it isn't my place bc it has never been directed at me historically or presently. I would imagine for a white man it would be like calling your mother a name though and the power that has. Would you feel the same way if I told you your mother is a WHORE Devin? Not that she is or isn't but if me and actually 60% of the population were to say Devin's mother is a total WHORE, I think you would feel a bit differently. I would
