Over/Under $1443 per month spending for housing?

This is what the average home owner spends per month, according to Nerd Wallet.
Included in this is a mortgage payment, property taxes, homeowners insurance and homeowner association dues.
Are you over this amount or under?
Since I asked, I'll go first.
Over. Why? 15 year mortgage. Things just cost more on a monthly basis when you shorten the length of repayment (although considerably less expensive over course of loan).

I haven't looked but I would imagine a 200,000 house at 30 years with 20 % down could get you under this number at under 4 % interest rate.
Again, haven't looked.

Not so subtle "no mortgage" brag.

This is the OT. Everyone lives in a 3500+ sq ft home designed by A. Hayes.
But for real, mine is over but I am on a 20 year mortgage.

We will be there in less than 8 years or sooner if we make an extra payment per year.

Uh, you can get a $200,000 on a 30 yr mortgage for under $1443 a month.

Probably right at that with P&I, taxes, and insurance.
Only a few years left to pay off the house, though.

Under.
I put 20% down to get the best rate. I do have 20 years left on a 30 year mortgage. But we are throwing a ton of money towards retirement.
We got lucky selling our first house right before the real estate collapse. And despite our new home's inability to gain a lot of value since then, the large down payment has really set us up nicely.
