The only time my wife puts things in the sink or the dishwasher is when I’m not done using them. What she calls “help,” I call “gtfo my kitchen”.

I clean as I cook. I won't sit down to eat until the cooking dishes/utensils are done.

As i cook (but I’m just a mom of 5)

Depends on the meal. If it’s something that has to sit in the oven or simmer on the stove a for a bit then yeah I’ll clean up while that’s cooking.

When I cook she cleans. When she cooks she also cleans.

The idea of whoever cooks the other cleans will not work for me. My wife made a PBJ sandwich. I look over and there are 3 knifes. I said really.

She said one for pb, one for jelly, and another to cut it.
SMH.

I will admit that I do wash my knives immediately after I finish using them. Dry them, quick pass on the steel and into the knife drawer they go.

Cook? Thats why I'm married, baw.

My wife has the same issues. She can use three cutting boards in preparing one meal. She can use six pots to make three bowls of pasta.
