That and they can be fairly dangerous. Free Willy whitewashes what they are.

I'm amazed that oceanic sunfish even exist. They're just big, slow balls of meat.

Someone here on the OT wrote a masterful indictment and condemnation of the useless Sunfish. It was brutal, R-rated, and — frankly — amazing. I tried to find it a while back, but had no luck.

Whoever the poster was, I hope you see this and share it again.

Not a single reported incident of an orca ever killing a human in the wild.

And you know they could do it at will with swimmers if they wanted to. They could grab your foot and suck you down to the depths in a nanosecond without you knowing what happened.

They've attached fishing boats that have killed their family members and they have killed people at places like Sea World where they have been trapped in relative bath tubs all day, for which I don't blame them.

I don't feel bad for the people they killed at Sea World.

Tilikum is the most famous and was captured from the wild near Iceland in 1983. He was linked to three deaths: Keltie Byrne in 1991, Daniel Dukes in 1999 and trainer Dawn Brancheau in 2010. During Byrne’s death, two other orcas—Nootka IV and Haida II—were also involved; both were wild-caught in Iceland as well

Stolen from his home and family. They have family units and display affection, protection, and mourn their deceased like elephants. Great memories too.

Agreed. These suckers are biting the rudders on sail boats as well if you believe the reels on IG. They’re diabolical wrecking machines. I know they have no recorded attacks on humans in the wild. But as the saying goes…”yet”.
