One thing your spouse puts in the fridge that makes no sense.

For me it’s peanut butter. For the first couple years we were married she’d put peanut butter in the fridge and it would be impossible to spread. Made absolutely sense. She finally saw the light and now we do not put pb in the fridge.

Tabasco and other hot sauces last way longer if refrigerated. Makes perfect sense unless you're going through a bottle a week.

Yes, it certainly does. It will break down and go from a bright red to a dull looking reddish brown in the bottle over time.

I now make my own hot sauces and use them pretty quickly but at one time I had several bottles of commercially produced stuff and the ones I hardly used much all turned nasty.

Uh, ok. The many bottles that I have tossed in the past say otherwise.
I probably have a few that are in the back of the seasoning rack right now that would look like something you'd find on an archeological dig site.

Our peanut butter jar literally says right on the label if you don't plan to eat the entire jar in 2 weeks or less to store it in the fridge.

I just finally buy a separate tub of PB and keep in the cabinet. I’m not fighting to spread peanut butter

Okay but real talk, ever try COLD peanut butter on hot toast? Creates this ridiculous gooey-crunchy texture war that I secretly kinda enjoy. Don’t tell my wife, I was the one who banned fridge PB in the first place.

Sandwich Bread but no other type of bread?

But the refrigerator IS bigger than bread box, so there’s that.

Different answer than what you are probably going for, but……

Had an ex that stored batteries in the freezer

I guess her mom (an incredibly stupid woman) convinced her that this somehow helped the batteries last longer

She still did it after I showed her via the internet that this was a silly practice
