Everything in his post makes sense except the medical issues.
Even if he is a Type 1 diabetic his sugars should not have been so high and rising over such a short time unless he had has just eaten a large load of sugar and not taken his meds when he was picked up.
Most insulin dependent diabetics take a long acting insulin either first thing in the am or last thing in the evening. This medicine prevents severe spikes in blood glucose during the day and keeps the average blood sugar low. Then those patients also take insulin with meals usually based on the amount of sugars being consumed. In a situation where you have a lack of insulin for meals you simply avoid sugar and drink lots of water to help clear the sugar in the blood stream. If he was truly knowledgeable about his DM and knew his sugars were up and the officers were offering him things to eat surely they were also offering him water.
There is no reason for a Type 1 diabetic to need an ER visit because he was away from his DM meds for less than 9 hours.
Stuff like this. Wondering why you go to walmart in brusly and buy clothes to change out of your all black clothes directly after 6 officers were shot less than an hour earlier all makes "legacy" suspect.
None of that makes sense. Either A) he's lying or b) he's embellishing.
There may be some parts of his story true, but most of it is dramatization to garner attention to him.

I can't imagine being detained for a long time and not knowing what the hell is going on. I would panic.

Most likely he didn't know what would happen, which is what causes extreme anxiety.

If he didnt do anything wrong then he had nothing to worry about

Then his facebook post should have been more along the lines of; "ya'll won't believe what happened to me yesterday.... and man that was stressful. Glad they cleared me, and a big shout out to the cops that were working on fumes during this crazy day"
but nah, it's a list of grievances because he had a shitty day.

I guess I can understand his frustration, however; I think he should be more understandable of the situation. The police were trying to turn over every stone and were simply trying to protecting the community. Its better to piss someone off by holding them as long as they feel possible than to quickly let them go with 100% confirmation the party is not affiliated with what happened.

All of this could've been avoided if he had a I Support LA State Troopers sticker on his vehicle.

He did. I would be pissed as well.

My 76 year old mom must be tougher than this guy
Joking aside, he seems like a really good dude - religious, funny, smart, likable.. he's probably extremely polite to everyone he interacts with. But the fact that he apparently feels as if he was treated poorly just says to me how deep the racial tensions and anti-cop sentiment goes among blacks. Surely he understands that he wasn't targeted for being black, he was targeted for matching the description of a murderer and terrorist. Yet he still felt the need to be dramatic on social media and add more anti-cop rhetoric to the world. I wouldn't say he hates cops, but it seems more of a strong distrust. And that's fine, but keep it to yourself. Why give others a reason to distrust and raise tensions?
For a short time, he was suspected to be one of the most wanted men in America. He was taken in by what I imagine was a LOT of cops, and he came out the other side alive and unharmed. Most would be happy to have a story to tell. It's unfortunate he's using his story to perpetuate tension.

Yeah really unfortunate he had to go through that. I know that his experience didnt help relations with him, his friend, and the police. Regardless if any were black or not.
In this case, I think more training needs to be given to cops and the standards held higher when dealing with suspects, no matter what they are held in suspicion off.

This guy posts something like this on Facebook. He's driving west towards Texas in a car with Texas plates when the shooter came from Texas. And he stops to change out of all black clothes. Sorry if I don't believe he wasn't involved.

Why would he post that pic if his dad is a cop?
He is saying he will not spend his money where cops are supported.
