He should have gotten his meds

But surely with everything going on its a little understandable that they made the mistake of not getting medical staff there to examine him and give him his meds sooner.

Second-guessing the efforts of law enforcement personnel is a large part of what got us all here.

Be careful not over react and tell people they should never second guess law enforcement. Like any profession, there are good and bad and even the good can make a mistake. There is a difference between hating cops and second guessing them.

Meds are not a priority when you get arrested. If the man stated from the beginning he had a medical condition that required insulin three times a day and they ignored it that would be wrong.

? was his insulin on him?

Just spit balling, but if you just happened to be dressed in all black when the radio announces a manhunt for a cop killer dressed in all black, wouldn't a change be prudent?
Sure. But I sure as hell wouldn't change clothes in broad daylight in a public place in that circumstance.

You would think with all of those family members in law enforcement that he would understand the situation a little more.

Like withholding insulin?

Would love to hear that answer. Secondly, if you have that many family members in LEO, it seems like a few phone calls to those family members could clear him. But, I revert back to the original question: "Then what the hell was the explanation for him & another guy changing out of all-black clothes at Walmart?"

They did not allow him phone calls. Obviously, whatever explanation he gave was sufficient enough for the police

Not to their satisfaction, very F'ng obviously! Maybe the fbi or some other federal unit called in and said "hold all suspects until further notice"

Are you not realizing the national scope of this event?

More like being detained for so long, being held in a cell, and being interrogated.

It seems that he meant the LE would have made the phone calls, not him.
