God Bless the officers shot, and I sympathize with what the man in the OP went through. The blame rests on the filthy thug who did the evil deed. The blame for creating this environment rests squarely on frick stain Hussein Obama, the proliferation of the disgusting racist BLM movement, cowardly pieces of shite Al Sharpton, and the liberal media.

The Islam Muslim who enslaved Damarcus' ancestor in Africa treated his ancestor worse than Damarcus just got treated.

But I don't see where Damarcus' ancestor is on record complaining about the Islam Muslim's actions.

Do you not understand the part where he was never under arrest/charged and only detained?
There is a difference.

I feel for the guy. Being detained for hours sucks and really stupid people will question his motives and reasons why he was detained.

Can you refer me to the part in the Louisiana criminal code or the US Constitution where he is guaranteed the right to a phone call, while detained OR under arrest.

Serious question. I don't think it exists.

It's also a hell of a coincidence they were in a car with Texas plates driving west when the shooter was most recently in Texas. But hey.. Diabeetus lives matter.

9 hours is a long damn time to be held with no call or medicine.

i get that it was about the worst day possible for the officers. i do.

but thats a long time to be detained without being able to call a lawyer, or family. and then to cap it off with a medical event....

Be careful not over react and tell people they should never second guess law enforcement. Like any profession, there are good and bad and even the good can make a mistake. There is a difference between hating cops and second guessing them.

Second guessing is not the same as reasonably and soundly examining and reviewing their actions. Second-guessing is like armchair quarterbacking - looking back in hindsight after the event is over and taking shots based on info that was not available in real time. Second guessing is a building block of the BLM movement. (Lies and racism are the bedrock).

I am beyond thankful that he is okay after not receiving his medication. That's some scary stuff right there. Props for his well-written and thoughtful post. And condolences for his loss. What a crappy day it is to live in this city all around.

Everything in his post makes sense except the medical issues.

Even if he is a Type 1 diabetic his sugars should not have been so high and rising over such a short time unless he had has just eaten a large load of sugar and not taken his meds when he was picked up.

Most insulin dependent diabetics take a long acting insulin either first thing in the am or last thing in the evening. This medicine prevents severe spikes in blood glucose during the day and keeps the average blood sugar low. Then those patients also take insulin with meals usually based on the amount of sugars being consumed. In a situation where you have a lack of insulin for meals you simply avoid sugar and drink lots of water to help clear the sugar in the blood stream. If he was truly knowledgeable about his DM and knew his sugars were up and the officers were offering him things to eat surely they were also offering him water.

There is no reason for a Type 1 diabetic to need an ER visit because he was away from his DM meds for less than 9 hours.

My 76 year old mom must be tougher than this guy, she will screw up and not take hers... For longer periods of time than that. Super high levels. It doesn't usually end up in a Facebook status as a huge emergency.

He should calm down, relax, and understand the situation. Tell his CSB, without the victim bullshite, and be happy he got some attention.
