Were you in a handicap spot there too?

You cocksuckers. I don't sit in a handicapped seat. Row 1 was offered to all disabled fans seeking season tickets in 1995-1996. When the requests were exhausted LSU offered the remaining seats on row 1 to able bodied fans.
There are maybe 4 current season ticket holders with a disabled fan in row 1 of 124 and 125 at Alex Box.

I hate y'all.

For anyone interested in the topic, I highly recommend Fawn M. Brodie's biography of Joseph Smith, "No Man Knows My History." The title is taken from a quote by Smith. Brodie was a history professor at UCLA. She was also a Mormon. The Mormon church excommunicated her after the book was published, so obviously they didn't like it. But I found it balanced and thorough. I am interested in the history of religions, and Mormonism is distinctly American religion.

Porter Rockwell

quote:

Orrin Porter Rockwell, a figure often described as a bodyguard and enforcer for Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, was involved in numerous violent encounters. While his exact kill count is debated, it's widely believed he killed between forty and one hundred men.

I think the temple on the beltway in DC allowed a tour a few years ago. My daughter went to have a look.

100%.

Brigham Young was lucky as hell the Civil War broke out making it take a nearly two decades for the Feds to investigate the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

Man they’re weird as shite but I can’t bring myself to hate Mormons. It obviously works really well for a lot of them, which is all religion is supposed to do. I would never convert but they seem alright.

And as a godless libtard soycuck or whatever I’m clearly “supposed” to hate them, but all they ever did to me was invite me to church and raise well-mannered kids. Never done me wrong.

I'm not a Mormon, but I live close to Utah and I know a lot of them. Our financial advisor is a Mormon (they prefer the term LDS) and he's made a lot of money for us over the past 5 years. My overall impression of them is very positive, though, like you, I would never become one.

Another fun fact. The Mormons in Nauvoo can make some damn fine kettle corn.

Best I’ve ever had.

Early Mormons were just a weird militant murdering cult. And it was not that long ago. It’s so strange how they just turned into respectable, civic minded, business-friendly, clean cut citizens. A fast turnaround. A successful rebrand.
