The should've made the second hand look like a pole vault pole.

You should read the comments on FB anytime local media posts an article about him.

Well…in fact, maybe you don’t want to see the stupidly on display.

I'm saying they should have made it look like one. It's easy to say it's "pole vault shaped" when it's just a straight line.

Can you educate me on why he's competing for Sweden instead of the US? Besides having dual citizenship because of his mom?

Sweden gave him an automatic bid. In the US he would have had to go through the Olympic trials.

Plus he's one of, if not the most famous person in Sweden. In America he's some guy who runs track.

The replacement straps are ~$800 now which is just two 4" pieces of rubber. They are a PITA to replace or switch out for a bracelet or vice versa because they have two little pins that mate with the watch mid case to prevent it from twisting. My dealer doesn't even switch them out they send them to Stern in NYC. Then they have to be cut to size which is a daunting task considering the price if you cut too short.

I couldn't find a good picture of the Patek strap but here is the end of the Rubber B version with the pins. Getting those pins lined up and keeping both ends of the spring bars compressed while doing it is a recipe for frustration and case scratches and basically impossible without quality spring bar pliers. I have warned a lot of people that just thought they would change straps/bracelet out on them at will.
