The old local radio call-in shows have gone the way of the dinosaur. Gone are the days of “Poppa-San” calling in to make his prediction and critiquing Gayle Hatch’s haircut.

So who was the king of call-in? Mike from Plaquemine?

when we were in high school, there was a guy who did sports and was the super hot take guy. He would say shite to get attention.

We used to call and piss him off, sometimes so bad that he would stop answering calls. He called us Crazy Bob, since Bob was the name we gave, even ran promos, about how crazy bob called in.

I swear sometimes we made him so mad, that he kicked his dog and wife during the show.

Will never forget the time MFP wanted to bench Brees for Brunell early in the '07 season. Or when his mom picked up the other line and started dialing numbers and he had to shout at her to hangup.

She told him at the end to hurry because she needed to use the phone.

Was it Kevin Slaten? because he absolutely would have gone home and beat his wife (whichever of the 4 he was married to at the time).
