MFP disappeared for a while when his brother Steve passed away. It was tough on Mike for a bit. Eventually he got back around to calling in to radio shows.
Sally picking up to tell him she needed the phone was funny as hell.

Liked the guy who would always call in asking about Tommy Banks stats well into the 2000s

That's right.. But that was a while ago huh? Man, his brother use to live in my neighborhood. If I recall, he recently got married when he passed. That's tough.

One of the funniest moments ever, Bubba calls in, he is flying into the game on his magic carpet, lol. Anyway, says he's flying over the lake and "Rob Nelson (WWL traffic reporter, when they still used real planes to give traffic reports) just gave me the finger!"

Will never forget the time MFP wanted to bench Brees for Brunell early in the '07 season. Or when his mom picked up the other line and started dialing numbers and he had to shout at her to hangup.

What show was it that Josh Innes, I belive, was a co host with a complete dumb arse, not Matt, a caller asked the co host about a certain saints player after the co host said how good he was and cant wait to see how he performs etc etc the caller called him a dumb arse and said he had just made up that name and there is no one on the saints roster wit that name
That was I. Idea came from the MSB
Weeks later I called back asking if he saw that shot Boris Diaw hit to win the Suns game, thinking he was being set up again he went on about not being fooled by a fake name again.
Sad part is Josh knew of both calls and just let his partner be lead to slaughter

Who remembers Tiger Terrance from around 2000 calling in to all the shows like Buddy Songy and Lee Feinswog? That dude was always hyping Josh Freaking Booty for Heisman and some OL prospect out of Evangel they called triple cheese. He called in one night with a tribute to Tommy Banks he had apparently put together last minute. It didn't go so well. He'd always sign off saying, "Jackie, I need my check. He was a legend around Tiger Plaza with Todd Linden, Zeph Zinsmann, and co. Vegas is back!

you see Innes is starting a podcast b/c nobody will hire him on radio?

Does Songy still come on? The only reason I would listen to his show was because it came on in the middle of other shows I use to listen to. It all depended on when I was on the road so I didn't listen to him every day, but the whole time I would listen to him I would bitch to myself "why do I listen to this!".
Not sure why, but something about Buddy use to get under my skin.

Buddy D. had a caller who imitated the voice of Edward R. Murrow. He could be pretty funny.

I think the funniest shite I ever heard on the radio was The Fish and Condon frickin with people who would call them. Their station number was close to the Entergy number. Some older black lady called about her “lights being turned off “. They transferred her back and forth to each other, both would ask her “did you pay your light bill “. She finally got pissed off after being transferred about 4 times and said “kiss my arse”
