Too many fathers are afraid to say no to their daughters and give them everything they want to keep them “happy”. From what I’ve seen, this is much more common with upper-middle class/wealthy families than blue-collar working class families. A simple fact of reality is that everyone eventually falls into the trap of thinking that throwing enough money at something will fix it.

Statistically speaking, the average American woman under the age of 40 is 40+ lbs overweight, has thousands of dollars in consumer debt, and is on an SSRI of some type. If you can't get the top 20% of women, that's basically your option. Some guys marry foreign but a lot of guys just don't bother dating period and choose peace over stress. You could "settle" I guess but sounds like a raw deal to most guys especially something like marriage where there is 50%+ failure rate where women initiate over 80% of the divorces.
This isn't really all that complicated. People on here like to come up with conspiracy theories and spend hours debating it but it's pretty simple.
