Look at California.

No college sports until we have a vaccine, but pro sports? Hey, welcome to California!

Ah yeah once again more “modeling” from the people that brought you the models where 2 million would die.

My sibling in the bay area told me the daycare, pre k, and k-12 schools won't open until 2021 and even then may not open if they decide to wait until a vaccine. It's total fricking insanity.

If Cuomo hadn’t given Trumps travel ban from China the bird, they are right. 36k or so lives could have been saved.

Well Nancy Pelosi and her ilk were telling everyone to visit their local Chinatowns to show their virtue 2 weeks prior to locking down. Garcetti in LA told anyone who would hear it that running the LA marathon was a wonderful idea and there was nothing to be afraid of.

The revisionist history or outright denial of history about who was pushing for lockdowns before we locked down is maddening.

All models are wrong, some are useful

Only the former applies to the one referenced. But ignorant folks will eat this up as intended

Sweden never closed their schools, not even for a day. They’ve had one child under the age of 18 die from COVID-19. 1.

I saw an article yesterday (I’ll find a link) that said the flu has a higher mortality rate for people under the age of 25 than COVID-19. Closing schools is complete nonsense

FreOpp: Estimating the Risk of Death from COVID-19 vs. Influenza or Pneumonia by Age

To put into perspective how silly it is for us to have any lockdowns at this point:

How many lives would have been saved if Michigan, Illinois, and New York would have keep recovering but still infected patients out of nursing homes?

Uh, hello. They did keep them out.

....well, at least long enough to remove their family members from the facility.

Since Covid-19 I guess nobody died of cancer, strokes, heart attacks or anything else. Guess Covid-19 wiped out everything other existing thing that kills up off the face of the earth.
