2 Billion?
You could redo the entire downtown with that kind of cash.
Or expand I-10 so its not a parking lot when a crash occurs.

Canal, Poydras, Bourbon, and maybe a couple other highly visible streets will be pristine because of this money.
The rest of the city will be like driving in a granite quarry full of fault lines.

They’d be prudent to hire that construction company under NIH’s umbrella, but we all know those nepotistic boneheads will keep it in the family.

Magazine is gonna get paved, fricked up by S&WB, then repaved a couple times.

This is going to be like the building fund at church.

There are a lot of street signs with offensive names like Jeff Davis, Jackson, Jefferson, Washington, Foucher (named after a PLANTATION), Lee Circle still has the name even with no statue...they could easily spend $2 billion on renaming and changing all the street signs and sidewalk tiles.

I'm assuming alot of this has already been spent right? Or am I wrong? It was just sitting in a a S and wb account?

I’m not saying the streets in lake view were horrible in the late 90s.

Yeah, many streets still suck there, but there have been a lot of roads fixed there. Fleur-Di-Lis or however you spell it is under major repair right now. Lot's of drainage and sewage pipe work included.
