Is this free money or a loan? Cause if a loan then NOLAis never going to be able to pay that back.

So why hasn't Central gotten money to fix their roads? The road bed is awful and constantly eroding.

In many cases they are fixing it all. I think that's why some people don't realize how fcking expensive it is to repair these streets. It's not just a re-pave job.

I just passed one of the streets in Lakeview that is under construction and they have dug what looks like 4 feet down to do what needs to be done.

I have no doubt some of this money will be misappropriated, but mainly from the shady arse contractors and not the politicians.

A lot of roads are actually getting fixed. The city needs to reduce its border size to better handle the problems at hand.

Those two are almost certainly completely intertwined

Correct.

I’m still surethey will have to re-open to fix stuff again in more than a couple spots.... but it’s not like back in the day where they consistently put paving ahead of pipes and them had to pace again

Claiborne drainage reconstruction project

Napoleon
Jefferson
Louisiana
Fountianblue

The new multiple streetcar lines

New Wisner Bridge

Lakefront

St Charles Ave

Fluer de Lis has been torn up for a long time. Any competent contractor held to even remotely good standards would've had it done by now. I probably could've finished it by now with the Lowe's crew and a couple pieces of equipment from Sunbelt

Without question NIH. The fortitude of the infrastructure is, in certain locales, disconcerting to say the least.

My crew and I could have it fixed in a month. Just give me enough money, and it'll be done.

The problem here is that people don't actually work because there aren't any repercussions for not working. If you don't have to work, and you don't want to work, why would you work?

I hit about two hundred potholes before I even turn off of my street in the morning.

It basically has been, but we still call it New Orleans East.

They finished the first half of the Fluer De Lis project a while back.m and it looks very nice. This second phase does seem to be dragging in.

Most residents take Prytania.

People that marry into the family take Magazine.
