Fortunately, our storm north of Shreveport hasn't been able to really grow.

At 233 PM EDT, a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was located near Arlington, or 11 miles southwest of Morgan, moving east at 30 mph.
This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TAKE COVER NOW!
HAZARD...Damaging tornado.
SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be destroyed. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction is possible.
* The tornado will be near... Leary around 255 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Commissary Hill, Iveys Mill, Milford, Bermuda, Elmodel Wma, Patmos, Crestview and Douglasville.

PDS Severe Thunderstorm Watches are very rare in this part of the country. The severe wind probabilities are 90% with that watch.

I just got an emergency alert on my phone for baseball sized hail and 80+mph winds from that storm.

Yeah, it is a wicked storm and if you're in the path you should pay attention....especially if driving. The worry initially was it growing upstream and becoming a derecho.

I mean, we had a small NICU stay in Denver mixed in too. I barely know the day.

The cell that just came through was prettt stout. Was that the potential derecho or is it that stuff still building back in Arkansas?

We don't have a full-on derecho yet. It is still building. It is possible that you may just miss out on it depending how it develops.

It’s pretty incredible at how good Timmer has gotten at being right there where tornados touch down.

Most chasers run around to find the tornado. With Timmer the tornado finds him
