Some posters here are insanely against HOA's and will spend all day arguing against them. It's weird.
I have lived in two different houses with HOA's and never heard a word from them or anyone on involved with them. Once I received a flier on my door reminding the neighborhood of the speed limit. I don't understand how so many people have issues with them, I find it pretty easy to not be an a-hole and take care of my shite

Yeah, frick common decency and respect for neighbors and their financial investments. He wants to have a pink house that looks like shite, it's his property to do what he wants. Hoa exist for essentially one reason, and that's to keep the couple trashey frickers in an area from ruining the hard earned investments of their neighbors.

In the overwhelming majority of instances, blight and nuisance laws do this just fine.
