Libs are so freaking sick. The whole article was more about her, and the #metoo sjw type crap then what can be done to help them. The LAST paragraph is the only one that made any kind of real negative mention of the govt there. definitely purposely thrown there for a reason. Freaking media today just pisses me off.

She doesnt care about fixing it. Dems are so simple minded driven by feelings. So sick. Find the root cause, and fix it, instead of trying to just send some dented cans.

I would love for her to have been asked what she would tell her younger self, about the below. Such a pos.

quote:

Why did you go to Venezuela?

I moved to Venezuela a few months after graduating from college. I was fascinated by Hugo Chávez and went to cover the socialist revolution. My plan was to go for a few months. Then a year turned into a few years, and now I can’t believe I’m still here.

The also are market based economies coupled with big government nanny states.

Sweden is actually far less socialist than they used to be. Know why? They ran out of money.

Is it your opinion that Venezuela's economy isn't centrally planned?

Because that's a basic tenet of socialism.

Let me translate that for you.

Take from the people who have spent their lives making something of themselves and give to the ones too lazy to do so. Tell the ones getting free shite they will keep getting it as long as they continue to vote for you.

Dear lord...why even live in a country. Just go fricking live off the grid with your vast riches You obviously can make everything a country can provide on your own.

You're a greedy, selfish golem. It's gross. I don't make that much money, but I make enough to the point where I'm not angrily counting up every penny I have to give to the taxman, thinking about how poor people are keeping me getting that XL fricking Yeti this year.

I bet you go to church and claim to be Christian, too..

Absolutely not. "Greed" has improved the lives of poor people more than anything.

True. Sweden had a highly mixed economy, which turned decidedly toward capitalism.

Maduro should still be a Bus Driver.

He's qualified to run a Nation like I'm qualified to run a Drum Circle.

They amassed a lot of wealth, started getting more socialist, ran out of their stored wealth, then had to go back to being more capitalist

aren't you the guy that didn't pick up on Father John Misty's act and gave him a scathing review on the music board? you seem pretty naive and easily duped. i'm not sure i trust your judgement.

It seems like a lot of people are revising history

In the early and mid 2000, Venezuela was certainly cited by many in America as a success story worthy of a closer look and perhaps a learning experience for us here st home.

What a joke. Telling people they are revising history, and you just throwing out words like "many cited" like it doesnt matter who all falls in that "many."

List some out. One thing is someone making a bad call at the time, and would redact the opinion, versus people who still believe it almost 20 yrs later. Lets see where your "many" lie.

Hate to tell you this, but Sweden is converting back to a more capitalistic govt.

Look it up.
