If… if the direct connector is built and the Florida Ave rail link is built… this project becomes a lot easier to deal with
But remember how long it took the state to build the new connection to the airport from I-10. Abd this will be 50x more complex and expensive.
Yeah I mean we live in Louisiana, idk why people are shocked people from down there would have an issue with not trusting the State to build something in a reasonable time frame

You have more faith in our politicians than I do

We don’t “need” Smith
Gautier and Chalmette elem have capacity. Rezone. Use the smith money to upgrade St. Bernard middle back to a high school

White collar jobs
Is there another state in the union that simultaneously has its residents calling itself a shithole with a dumb population but simultaneously demands only tourism and finance jobs?
In this thread we will demand only white collar jobs but if you start a thread about TRUE statistics showing that Louisiana has had major improvement in reading scores in both demographically adjusted and non demo adjusted rankings 95% of posts will be about how the state is manipulating the numbers and that there is no way.
You would think we were in Silicon Valley or Manhattan based on how picky people are on here.

People with more ability to fund it than St Bernard Parish.
Pomes was totally against the port and then supported it after being elected.

St. Bernard’s gonna want a campus decked out like CHS… and a visitors side
I don’t think they’ll ever be a high school again unless there’s a massive influx into the parish, and 20 years after Katrina I think we can agree that’s not happening

Still better than Wayne Landry. Cant believe that hack still runs for office

Like most Americans, they want money and luxury to fall magically from the sky, with none of the dirty gears that make economies actually turn. No power plants, no ports, no shipyards, no factories... Americans all want air conditioned luxury offices where paychecks just appear, and condos on the beach are waiting for them on weekends.

As long as Doris has her grimey hands on the school system, St Bernard will totally not have another HS

I don’t think the math is there for any down the road candidate (after Meraux) to ever win again… 75% of the population lives in Arabi, Chalmette, and Meraux
(Someone on Facebook tried to tell me down the road started at Paris Road

Too bad they would still be a comically small school
I agree they need another HS down there, should have been built awhile ago.
Only way Chalmette could ever hope to be competitive in sports is for them to drop to 3A/4A again like pre katrina and the only way that happens is with three high schools with one being a "magnet"

Just a properly planned out blue collar job producer would be good.
You have a port with no access, an airport with no access, a data center with NDAs and more tax breaks than the state budget and power plants funded by the public.
None with performance clauses.

Let’s define “competitive”. How many winning seasons do we have in a row? It’s funny how when someone went to school determines how pessimistic they are about the team now. I know you went in the 90s before me lol
Someone was telling me about some kids coming up into high school soon and was like “they’d be unreal if they were in the right district” and I was like well let’s play in the Catholic League so we can see if they’re really unreal or not
