Me as well. Went home often until everyone moved after the storm. I need to get back in Nemesis.

I dont know. STBSO office posted on their Facebook page an attempted robbery on mehle and St Claude last night just after midnight. The safe place and able to still work in NOLA is going out the window.

My brother delivered pizza for Domino's and was held up 3 houses from the post office on Mehle in 1990. My dad made him quit immediately. You don’t judge a place by a one off.

Sure. It’s different here now but crime isn’t even a blip on my radar. You want to frick around in this parish, God bless ya. The entire sheriff’s office is waiting on your dumb arse.

Yeah after the tornado was sketchhhh...SBSO did a good job coralling that.

Dynamic is different in Old Arabi area, especially past/around that Rallys. (Tigerdew is right its been that way since I was a kid but it is more amped up now)

Grew up on Friscoville. Ive seen it play out in slow motion (and still have a house...on the sketch side )

ETA: back in the day my parents left the door unlocked at night.

Nowadays? Not so much

My dad left our doors unlocked and the key in the ignition of our Suburban. Thinking about that now is wild. It’s not just a Parish thing. It’s more about how society evolved.
