I love historical landmarks and NO is loaded with history. Sadly, any city which becomes intent upon preservation of the old falls into disrepair then the population changes because those with money want something new

This is complete bullshite. My brothers friend was killed outside Fat Harry's while I was there. My friends new wife was killed during a carjacking attempt, they shot her through the window of her car at Carondelet and Valmont. Both in the early 90s. Yes, New Orleans has regressed since Covid, that is true.

Stayed in New Orleans last week. It was my first time going to the city in probably five years. It felt so much trashier than I remembered.

Late July / early August is the hottest, cheapest, and therefore trashiest time period for tourism in New Orleans.
