The original Breakers were in Boston and had the same design and color scheme. It is just a crazy coincidence that they moved to New Orleans at the same time the worlds fair was going on and that baby blue was also part of the 84 world fair color scheme
With the grey wave design, too.

I like the Dupree era wave on the helmet more than the Portland with the black.

Beats me. Why were the Los Angeles Rams deemed the visiting team in a Super Bowl held at their home stadium?

it alternates which conference's representative is designated as the home team in the Super Bowl

this year was the AFC's turn... so the Bengals were home... next year the NFC team will be the "home" team in the Super Bowl

Because when I think of New Orleans, I think of blue water waves breaking over the beach and sea gulls.

The New Orleans Carjackers would be more appropriate.

Not bad, I guess

I get they tried to stick to the old design but those are terrible. They look like a fake Korean version of a Semi-Pro team. I mean I get it's budget as hell but even bobo bumfick junior high teams have some better uniform designs than this

The United States Football League (USFL) was an American football league that played for three seasons, 1983 through 1985. The league played a spring/summer schedule in each of its active seasons. The 1986 season was scheduled to be played in the autumn/winter, directly competing against the long-established National Football League (NFL). However, the USFL ceased operations before that season was scheduled to begin.

Despite claims that this was a reactivation of the old league, no figures from the original league are involved in the new league, which is instead being backed by the principals of the extant developmental showcase The Spring League, Brian Woods and Fox Sports
