Thanks for the pictures of the Painted Churches. A good coaching friend of mine is from one of those small towns with a Painted church. The town, Flatonia, Tx.

I have been able to sit in St Patrick's completely alone, excellent for prayer/medication/rosary. They recently finished renovation, and didn't lose the ambience.
The staff keeps in cool in there, which is also nice.

Holy Name at Loyola, especially when you combine the interior with the exterior.
When I go to Manresa, I get my exercise by walking there on the levee.
St Mary’s Assumption ( the Father Seelos church) and the one across the street from it in the Irish Channel are both beautiful and ornate on the inside. The one across the street ( I forget the name) is no longer a functioning church, but if you have a chance to go in there to look around, do so.
Why were two magnificent churches built right across the street from each other?
One was for the Germans and one was for the Irish.

Was a parishioner and lector there for five years when we lived uptown (1995-2000).
It looks a LOT brighter now than it did back then. I assume they renovated it a bit.

I've never liked that "arena" style seating in a church. Holy Ghost in Hammond, St. Joseph's in Ponchatoula, Mary Queen of Peace in Mandeville, St. Pius in Lakeview. It doesn't feel right to me.

Always liked St Jean Vianney in BR. Non-traditional but I like it.
