No matter what you do there's always someone who wants to kill having fun.

I would suspect some of the poorest trashiest families blow money on limos for proms, seems like often a ghetto fabulous thing.

It was the poor kids that got limos when I went to prom.

We just drove up in muscle cars to hang out in the parking lot for a few minutes and leave. There was a killer card game that weekend.

It probably would have been more acceptable to claim the reason was to prevent kids from “pre-gaming”, arrive to prom smashed, then become a risk management liability.

Not that anyone would have believed it much more than this, but it doesn’t require suspending disbelief to say that their argument holds water.

Granted, my HS had a charted bus for graduation festivities to prevent this kind of thing and it still didn’t prevent people from showing up to graduation completely plastered or throwing up all over themselves in the bus later that night.

I graduated in the early 80's, I don't even think there were legit chaperones there.

Beattle said that following a "group decision made by the Administrative Team" at the Sussex County school, the only way to get to the prom at the Rockleigh Country Club in Bergen County is to take a chaperoned school bus at a cost of $15 a person.

Ding, Ding Ding, we have the answer here. It is a money grab by the administration.

So that school should give all dumb kids good grades too. It can't be a double standard.

Liberals and their thinking truly are a cancer. It’s time to get rid of them.

Of all the prom couples at my high school prom, I can only name one that is still together today, nearly 13 years later.

Well, you boomers have like a 60% divorce rate so there’s no surprise there

Boy does that sum up socialism well.

Because of income disparity no one can use a private limo to get to our private country club. You have to use our transportation and our services at our venue or you can't participate.

Easy peasy, just take a limo to the designated departure loading zone.
