Many States have already filed lawsuits already and I'd guarantee many more will follow in the coming weeks. At least they damn well should fight this any way possible.

Fed Gov and state gov employs millions of people, including senators and representatives right? Last time I checked 1,000,000+ > 100.

Everyone that works for any government now must get vaccinated by Nov 4th or be fired. Let’s go Progressives. Let’s see your fricking hypocrisy on this shite.

You MFers really need to read the Anatomy of the State. Its less than 60 pages and answers this question.

This is about punishing political dissent, not health.

Come on Texas and Florida, do your damn middle finger thing to Biden.

Alabama has a bill going through that will give employees the option to simply check a box whether they want to use the medical or religious exemptions. And employers aren't allowed to push it past that.

Gov Memaw gave Biden & his group of idiots the middle finger when they set the Nov 4th deadline.

Good for the old gal.

It should be noted it’s written to stand up to court review because it doesn’t mandate a vaccine. It mandates testing for non-vaccinated, and includes religious exemptions, along with exemptions for employees that work from home. It also doesn’t apply to employees that work primarily outside.

Not saying it will survive court challenges, or that I agree with it(I don’t) but it’s technically not a vaccine mandate, though it is one in practice.

It’s a slippery fricking slope is what it is. And I’m typing this as a currently fully vaccinated individual.

The government mandate is kicking in for a couple of projects that we are on. We're doing a survey of our employees to find out who is and who isn't vaccinated. While we as a company are not mandating that our employees get vaccinated we are complying with the federal mandate and only putting vaccinated employees on those projects.

Make sure your team is reading through the executive order carefully. My company has less than 25 employees but the Fed Gov't was still trying to force the mandate on 100% of the employees because of some of our federal contracts. It does not matter that our service is performed remotely and we have some remote workers; entire company had to be 100% vaccinated (or approved exemption)

Since we are a contractor that provides a service, they tried to say we had to comply or they would not renew the contract, expires in Sept '22. However, we met some of the exclusions, so our legal team is arguing it does not apply to us.

legislature make it a law. Seems like they aren’t too concerned with rushing it.

Exactly. This seems way less controversial politically than the abortion law, probably why they are ignoring it.

I'm a Democrat and have been for most of my life (also independent). Never was a fan of Biden but I most definitely don't like this. This reeks of government overreach in a fashion that makes the Patriot Act blush.

No plan on getting vaccinated and I work for a company of 15K.

I’m hoping lawsuits on this unconstitutional mandate hold it up in the courts until the Supreme Court can strike down this overreach.

I'm so glad my company isn't 100 people or has government contracts. I'm pro-vaccine, but frick everything about the federal mandates.

Why?
Because it’s an extremely effective way to reduce hospitalization and death with very little risk. Much more effective than black cumin seeds or ivermectin.

Will be too late. Companies will start their declarations mid-next week in order to meet the 1/4 deadline and give their people enough time to meet the requirements.

There would need to be an injunction immediately to stop them from just continuing down the path.

Nothing compared to how people are going to respond to a mandate that younger kids get the vaccine. That's not popular. Not even up here in crazy cat lady country.

I think that will finally be a bridge too far for many (unfortunate that it took so long). Everyone knows someone, to some degree, that has died from/with Covid...or at least had to be hospitalized. But even the media can't spin and fear monger that the virus is devastating to children. Two years of data confirms that.

We just watched a statewide election in a "blue" state (probably more purple) where the turning point was the Democratic candidate's statement that parents should not be involved in what is taught to their children in school. That caused HUGE backlash from parents. If the government tried to force children to get a largely unproven "vaccine" to protect them from an EXCEEDINGLY low risk, you are going to see an exponentially angrier response. Even from adults who were all in on getting the vaccine themselves.
