Men outnumber women on dating apps 10:1. Why would a woman join an AI dating service? It will be 50:1 men to women. Ugly people are going to flock to this service and it will flame out in a year.

This. This is the kind of thing that might actually be useful, but women would never voluntarily use it. So unless you’ve got some way to mandate its use, its a waste of time.

There was a 2014 movie Boyhood that had a final scene of main character going off to college after growing up in a sorta dysfunctional family.

He was excited about a tool his new college used to match roommates during freshman year.

It made me think about how college is such a big adjustment and wondered how many got off to a bad start simply because of a bad match. Similar to the daughter in Landman.

What if you are just trying to match with someone with big tits?

Fat girls have big tits. They just aren’t disproportionately larger than the rest of themselves.

There's zero chance this will be objective because they'd have no chance at getting women to catch on.

If anything its just going to be insanely biased in favor of women, i.e. fat chicks getting matched with in shape guys.

Exactly this. These websites need gobs of women, in every city, to become popular. Most women only use these sites for validation ie look at all hot guys messaging them.

These websites peaked around 2015. With a little work you could meet a different 6-7 every night for dinner at chili’s or Olive Garden. Even then it was heavily skewed in women’s favor as far as the effort put into it.

Unfortunately , this destroyed the dating dynamic for the bottom 80% of dudes that are below average.

Aren't all of these owned by match?

I think bumble is the only one not owned by them.

Anyway, the guys also do games. And they have added in app currency to these dating apps. So it's essentially just a game.

Nothing infuriates a woman more than a guy she perceives below her status thinking he’s on her same level.

And the 2nd would take 30 + years of assets after you work yourself close to the grave.

While AI borders on retarded, considering how staggeringly unrealistically the average person views themselves, this is one area I honestly think AI might do better

100% agree here. The issue is the women will never accept it. The AI must be faulty or incorrect as nothing can shatter their delusions

This may “work” for a very select few, but I don’t see it being profitable. Isn’t the business model of most of these sites to keep people on there? What incentive do they actually have to create lasting matches that just lose them users?

Can AI determine attractiveness? I am guessing it will match on personality traits and interests.
