My dad was a NASA engineer and I got to go to the Apollo 11 launch. The launch of a Saturn 5 rocket is more impressive than you can imagine. Shuttle was small in comparison. Just powerful.

I think it’s more palatable for some people to think we never went to the moon at all than it is to think we haven’t progressed in space travel since then.
