This is a fact. No dew, the grass isn't as shocked, or so they say.

Yep. 7pm is the best time to mow.

Dude, grass and weeds grow everywhere.

Take any empty plot of land, leave it alone for a couple of years and see what happens to it.

Yes, “grasses and weeds” will grow naturally in some places. When an inner city neighborhood is developed, they reduce the ground to dirt. They then make choices. Cover the ground or leave it as soil? Plant beds or no? If soil, what to plant over it?

Again, grading the soil and planting grasses imported from Asia or the Atlantic coast is the norm here, but it’s not the only option. As such, having a grass lawn that requires mowing isn’t a “necessity”.

but mowing at 6:45 isn't something worthy of getting upset about.
I've been mowing my own grass in S.E. La since I was a kid and while not comfortable, it's not worth disturbing your neighbors early on a weekend or mowing wet grass unevenly.

If my neighbor mowed his lawn at 6:45AM, I would politely confront him about it.

Spray the shite out of his lawn tonight around midnight with glyphosate. You won't have to worry about him mowing it for a while

To me, 7am is already a stretch. The stereotypical “workday” starts at 8am. If you live close to other people, that strikes me as a better target. Now, if it’s getting crazy hot or there is a specific reason to go earlier, it happens. But trying to normalize starting mechanical equipment that early in a residential area makes zero sense to me.

There isn’t a manual labor job around starting at 8am.

They sure do. Grass or weeds.

Something is going to grow.

Considering your history as an intelligent poster, I'm either being extremely unclear, or you're being unusually obtuse...

Do your neighbor and yourself a favor and spray his entire yard with roundup.

This.

Once you acclimate to the summer heat, you just get a little extra sweaty. Not like you can avoid it, especially cutting in the 100% humidity of just after sunrise.

I play the sun angle and where the shade is. Makes cutting around 11:30 the best for lowest sun exposure. I'm not a pussy though, and pushing my mower when it's 90 in the shade isn't anything worth complaining about.

5:30 is entirely too early to cut grass

Sure they do

In a natural state, you'll have grass and weeds however. Most of the alternatives you linked require mowing and maintenance as well.

If you have an HOA, you most like have to have grass. "Alternatives" are expensive and ugly to most people.

Wouldn't bother me. Jaxxyn and I are at the batting cages by that time.
