The fetishizing of grass cutting baffles me. There are countless ways that he can “be productive” that don’t involve firing up a combustion engine and disturbing his neighbors. Would you feel the same way if he fired up an angle grinder at 6:30am?

EBR has a noise ordinance that makes this illegal on weekends. Zero eight is the earliest you can start mowing your lawn on weekends.

So? It’s summer and gets hot later in the day.
It’s right after 6 am here and I can hear someone a few houses down mowing their grass right now and I’m not crying about it like the OP.

People who get pissed about this are inconsiderate. When it’s is hot as it is in the summer and you can’t do it in the evening there’s nothing wrong with mowing early in the morning. You’d rather this guy go into the hospital with heat exhaustion or die of heat stroke instead of a minor inconvenience to you?

People should be up at 6:45 anyway. But if they want to sleep later they can go to bed with ear muffs. They don’t cost much.
