This is going to trigger the red necks who have never been to the north east

The south invented patriotism and nascar.
The south were traitors to the USA. The complete opposite of patriotism. Hicks still fly a flag of treason too today. Ironically the Venn diagram of Confederate flag wavers and people who cry about kneeling for the US National anthem is very close to a singular circle.

Ok I’ll give you what you want:
Why would America have lost the revolution if it weren’t for South Carolina? Present your case.

Not that this necessarily equates to patriotism...but here is the ratio of recruits as a share of a state’s population of eighteen to twenty-four year olds.

Pretty close minded and un-patriotic if you ask me
Huh? That's what you got bc I don't think NH and Vermont belong in the top 3? Now that's closed minded

Or France

These type of lists are silly, meaningless, and misleading

While I agree that Bernie and his followers can go walk off a cliff, being a socialist doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not patriotic.
EDIT: Who is downvoting this? Do people here not know what the definition of patriotism is?

After the war in the north ground to a stalemate, the British believed they could subjugate the colonies from the south.
After capturing Charleston, most organized resistance in SC was eliminated. After the Americans were disastrously defeated at Camden, the British were ready to move into North Carolina to continue their strategy. However, they were prevented by continuous harassment from militia which culminated in the defeat of the British at Kings Mountain. Furthermore, Loyalist support was not a strong as the British hoped. The British kept screwing up and pissing off the civilians.
As American resistance became more organized and Nathanael Greene arrived, the tide continued to turn against the British. The British were once again defeated at the Cowpens where the Americans were commanded by Daniel Morgan.
Continued harassment and delaying movements against the British prompted Cornwallis to move against the American supply lines coming out of Virginia. This is the famous move to Yorktown where the war essentially ended.
If you want a good dose of 'Murica, read about the events around the Battle of Kings Mountain. Read about the Overmountain Men (including Davy Crockett's dad) who rushed over the Appalachians to help stop the British because they weren't going to submit to Patrick Ferguson. God damn, go America.
