you look at the full rankings, they’re next to last.
Probably because they have an unhealthy hardon for Texas before anything else, including God.

They seceded first, they did not consider themselves apart of the country anymore. It was not unconstitutional.

It's neck and neck, but God wins out.

God is Texas to a Texan.

I would say “too many people who can’t join the military, vote, or engage in the civic activities that make up the criteria of this list”.

Just like the war was about general states rights and not slavery.

The British were once again defeated at the Cowpens where the Americans were commanded by Daniel Morgan.
A most excellent use of the double envelopment. Bloody Tarlton's forces were decimated.
Good old Daniel Morgan

We did a staff ride to Cowpens when I was in SCCC. Really interesting battle.

Small states can do well as they can skew if using per capita numbers.

I’m suspect that if you had a bunch of white, black or Asian people living there who couldn’t join the military, vote, or participate in civic activity, they’d still be at the bottom of the list.

I feel as though WalletHub must not do any business below the Mason Dixon.

You think they were going to fight against all they helped build because some slave owners in the other part of Virginia didn't like the results of a free (at least in non-southern states) election?
Sounds eerily familiar

NPS has done a good job preserving the battlefield. Cowpens and Kings Mountain are both really interesting visits.
