I’m not arguing about the why of the war, I’m arguing about the fact that you call them traitors when the right to secede was not questioned in the antebellum era, it was taught in the United States Military Academy. New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia all declared that they wouldn’t ratify the constitution unless the right to secede was guaranteed.

They were traitors who took up arms against the USA.
The only people who argue otherwise do so to romanticize their traitorous Confederate ancestors who fought to keep humans as property.

I’m suspect that if you had a bunch of white, black or Asian people living there who couldn’t join the military, vote, or participate in civic activity, they’d still be at the bottom of the list.
Sure, if they were illegal immigrants as well...illegal immigrants who can't do any of the above because they're, well, illegal.

It is too bad they attacked US government property and started a war.

Got ancestors that fought on the good guys’ side in both these engagements.

Nah, my ancestor from the civil war fought for the union. Was a prisoner at Andersonville as well.
It will always be the War of Northern Aggression.

So the state that kicked off the Civil War comes in at number eight. Interesting.
We knew what was right then, we know what is right now. Overreach by the federal government is not American.

So every country that the US has ever gone to war with are traitors?

This phrase is so stupid.
The south attacked first.
They were the aggressors.

How can it be this is the south fired first?

It is, and the rest is history. War or no war, i firmly believe that they’d have gone back into the Union sooner or later.

How did the feds overreach?
The South seceded because their guy lost the Presidential election.

You're failing quite hard at the smartass game.

A simple misunderstanding that people blew way out of proportion.

We’ll just have to disagree on this then.

How can ANY northern state be partriotic. That's where most of the pinkos hang out, isn't it?

Yes.
So why not call them illegal immigrants? Being “messicans” as you put it isn’t particularly descriptive when trying to understand why they’re pulling down Texas’ rank.

Fort Gordon?
I did a staff ride there during ROTC.
I actually grew up 15 miles from the battlefield and when I was in high school I used to take training rides to the battlefield and ride laps around the road that circled it. I rode several thousand miles there during those three years.
GetCocky mentioned the good job that NPC does there, they have taken great pains to keep the foliage as close as possible to the way it was in 1781.

Yup.
It's why I live here in South Carolina. Met my wife when I was at Gordon for BOLC and moved here after I got out.
