Now here's something you don't see everyday.

Robin Conner, a Mississippi police officer, was arrested for shoplifting while in uniform from Dick's Sporting Goods.

An officer with the Columbus Police for two years, she was on duty at the time of the crime and even drove a police cruiser as her getaway vehicle.

She has been charged with misdemeanor shoplifting for stealing goods worth less than $1k and was taken to jail in her own cruiser.

If you can't trust the police to do their jobs, who can you trust?

you're thinking of this. he stole a diamond and then stuck it in a construction site. the construction site turned out to be a police station so he becomes a police officer to break in and get it back.

No they don't, and full pensions at like 40 years old. Is the pay ridiculously high, no, but they progress quickly up the scale.

How is this a misdemeanor? I understand the $$$ significance but doing so while on duty driving a patrol car and still a misdemeanor?

I will never understand people shoplifting in MS when you can easily do it without fear of being penalized in NY, CA, Chicago, etc.

This. Isn't there a charge like theft by use of authority or something like that for situations like this?

Did her partner drive her?

That would be something if there was a partner, she shoplifted, they arrested her after she got in the cruiser, and then took her to jail. Haha.
