Are we talking 60 hours of actual work or 35 hours of work and 25 hours of bull shitting? I know there are quite a few people who love to talk about how much they work even though it's not all actual working when it comes down to it.

I couldn't tell you. I just know there schedule is 6 10s. I would imagine they aren't grinding the entire 60 hrs, but thats just a guess.

What are their occupations roughly? Plant worker or operator?

Field engineers. So it's mostly spent in the construction trailers.

And you have to average over 80 for 4 straight weeks to be in violation.

No. Maybe in ER residencies.

ACGME rules say you have to have 4 24 hour periods off a month. Many residents only get 4 days off a month And work "80" hours a week (often more but they have to put down 80 on paper).

12 hours 6 days a week? And you have friends who work much worse?

Say whatever you want, but a lot of my friends (young physicians) are pushing 80 hours a week for years.

Use to do 6-12s during plant outages back in a former job. That shite wasn't fun, but it was only for a month or two. Did it for around 3 months for a big outage, that really sucked. I got paid good money though, those people are getting screwed.

So more than $560 a month?

But they have it much worse.

Much worse by hours. And they don't make big salaries either. Granted it is more than $560 a month.

With per diem, well over $100k. I never said it was the exact same

So your people are making 15 times what this guy is making, while working 20% less. That goes being not "the exact same," to being not worthy of the comparison.

I worked 2 months 6 days a week from 8AM to at least 2AM. It was right after a broken engagement so it was actually everything I needed. And I was per diem so I billed 2 days in 1 every day.

I made a frick ton those 2 months.

Kind of a package deal, man. Someone could work 15 hours 7 days a week but make $250k so it wouldn't be worse than this guy in the OP.
