waivers are borderline worthless in most states. You can't waive someone else's negligence or performance of illegal acts.

Right. That waiver isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Saw this the other day and it is pretty crazy. It is, however, impossible. There are basically no rules to get you to break. If it comes down to it and you're almost done with the 10 hours he could just bring out an chainsaw and say, "well, you've made it farther than anyone else and here is the grand finale. We are going to cut your arms and legs off."
It is certainly stacked in his favor where there is no way he will ever pay that money. I watched one of the videos and they buried a guy in mud. Face and all and then pulled him out and said he gave up even though there is no way to know if he actually gave up because his fricking face and mouth were covered in mud.
I also think that the guy is getting some sort of sick sexual pleasure from being in such total control of someone else. He plays up this straight laced guy who doesnt cuss and has never drank a sip of alcohol. Those are the types who end up on the news with someone who died while they were seeing how many rattlesnakes they could shove in each other's arse.

This dude was on the Dark Tourist netflix series. I'm a bit shocked that his industry is still a thing.

No...... 3 in the afternoon to sometime right after Sun up. He claims no on has made it to the end. A few former Special Forces guys have made it 8-10 hours and one went beyond but right towards the end at about 12, he had enough and almost killed one of McKamey's "volunteers"
I was basing that off of what I had read about it when he was in San Diego.

I wouldn’t go through it for any amount of money. It lasts 6-8 hours. 6-8 hours of psychological torture? No thanks.
$20k tour actually takes 36+ hours.
No one will ever do it cause it is too rigged in his favor.

Maybe I am wrong, but I could see situations in which courts may not enforce the waiver. Courts in some states won't enforce it if certain behavior by the person running the event causes injury to the person who signed the waiver. For example, courts in Alabama will enforce waivers that protect against negligence claims, but won't enforce it against claims of wanton conduct.

And there's video of people swallowing mud and sewage...so it isn't all fake.
i mean it's pretty clear there's some legit stuff on there, but a lot of it is bullshite.

I would but there's a 100% chance that someone would take a savage, never-to-be-forgotten beat down before those ten hours were up. It might very well be me taking it. It wouldn't be my first.

guy talked to someone that did it
another guy that claimed to do it

it was on a different account that i ended up having to delete because i got doxxed.. but i do remember he told me that it was centric upon being physically exhausting, as well as denying a variety of your senses for extended periods of time, with little bits of actual actors and horror skits mixed in. he told me russ does know your fears, and he plays on them big time. but the worst part (and the reason he couldnt give me the "nitty gritty details of exactly what happens in there" that i asked him for) was they blindfold and ear muff you almost the entire time. he said the majority of the time he couldnt see or hear anything really, and it got disorienting almost immediately. FWIW, i also remember that he said he didnt regret it, and that he wouldnt mind sharing details... just didnt have many details to share. blinded and deafened for most of it, in conjunction with a dead serious NDA. the vibe i got was that they basically block off your senses and shove you around/make you do bullshite until you are physically/mentally exhausted, and then open your eyes/ears and toss you into various "horror" scenarios that play on your fears and try to frick with you. rinse and repeat until he decides you're done. torture? depends on your definition. i respect russ and i like what hes doing but personally i wouldnt go

I’ve been through twice and they don’t give you shite. Everything they say and do is over exaggerated. The actors get too into it until they piss the wrong person off, there’s no convicts, there are kids, and only the uninitiated will be frightened. The paperwork goes both ways. I almost got kicked out the first time because I was over aggressive, I had to calm down and “let” the actors do what they wanted. I don’t think they liked me. When they say “no guest has made it” it’s a bold faced lie. Even my girlfriend made it. It changes frequently, but they waterboard you, cut your hair, they'll gag you til you vomit, put bugs on you..among other things
