Well then she almost fricked it up if that’s true. If it is true, usually don’t they shut stuff down or delay it because of stuff like that?

Real easy to sit wherever you are and say that

I just can't wrap my head around why all those people just hit the deck when they figured out those were gunshots. You're in a big arse open area, get the frick out of there and find some safety.
One person just hits the deck, another guy sees the first person hit the deck so he figures that he should also hit the deck, then another person sees that second person hit the deck so he figures that he should also hit the deck, and so on and so on and so on.

Anything that makes people afraid to go to an outdoor concert, anything that makes people afraid to go to a nightclub, anything that makes people afraid to go to school, is terrorism.
There is a definition used by law enforcement and that ain't it.

Only thing I can think of is they didn't know it was coming from above and that laying down would be beneficial.
This is absolutely terrible. Some serious darkness in this world.

People aren’t typically conditioned for situations like this. A lot of people freeze up and instincts are to get down until you can figure out wtf is happening.

Wwl news radio said tripod mounted weapon.
Listening to it a million times now it would not be shocking to hear this was something belt fed. Plus it would have to be hard for your average 64 year old dude to stand and fire that many rounds with magazine changes and clearing jams.
These folks lived in Mesquite. Aren't there a ton of ranges out there? Outdoor and full auto? Some range owner or dealer is gonna get his colon examined by the FBI, ATF, and CIA.

People get scared and just freeze up. They had no idea where the guy was shooting from. Completely understandable that they just hit the deck

It is but if you know somebody is shooting at you and you're huddled in a big fricking group of people, you need to gtfo. Not continue getting shot at.

I saw videos of men laying on top of their women to protect them

With 50 dead, definitely not a .22
I mean - it’s POSSIBLE if he really did shoot hundreds of rounds, maybe not likely.

come one, guy. There is such confusion, a lot are drunk, no one knows what is happening, standing, sitting shoulder...Trying to get everyone to go in to areas of safety takes minutes in that kind of situation.
You are being unreasonable.

He could've been throwing pool balls into a crowd of 30,000 from the 32nd floor and killed people. A .22 will definitely kill 50 folks. I don't think that's the case here though.
Posted on 10/2/17 at 7:34 am to theunknownknight
Very unlikely it's a 22.

You’re assuming that people who have never been in a firefight can instantly process the event.
And if you don’t know where the gunfire is coming from...they could have just as easily ran right into it.
