The reason I dislike the wapo so much is that they brainwashed hundreds of thousands if not over a million conservative voters living in the DC suburbs who regularly read the paper. These were hardcore Reagan and Bush folk. The wapo took a left wing turn and took these once proud folk with it.
The amount of George Bush voters living in Northern Virginia who have turned blue due to wapo is grotesque

Blame me or not. When they die because USAID ended tells me they weren’t journalists.

That's fair enough, but there needs to be a term other than "fake stories" and "fake news," something more accurate and nuanced.
"Fake news" just seems immature and anyone who says or posts "fake news" comes across as having the emotional intelligence of a 12 year old.

It'll be years before DC residents find out the Wizards traded for Anthony Davis

Why not just biased or slanted?
Those don't sound nearly as simpleton and special needs as "fake news."

Misinformation? Disinformation? Propaganda?
Sorry if high falutin words weren't used.

Wapo will probably come out with an article saying Trump made them do it. Or maybe the will say they got cancelled for being overly truthful

good means less fake stories
Reaaly? You think so?
The internet is what is generally considered as responsible for newspapers closing since 1990. Do you think there are more or fewer fake stories on the internet since then?
Some say it is partisan reporting that is closing newspapers. Is there more or less partisan reporting on the internet vs newspapers?
Losing newsrooms to iPhone 'journalists' is NOT a good thing.

it seems crazy that the paper of record for a city as big as DC wouldn't even have coverage of the local teams

In Jan. 2025, a multipartisan AllSides panel conducted a Small Group Editorial Review, resulting in a Lean Left (-1.63) rating for Washington Post.
The panel identified multiple instances of story choice bias, subjective qualifying adjectives, bias by viewpoint omission/placement, and slant, all of which appealed to left-leaning perspectives.

When you intentionally run off half of your potential readership, you better be damn sure the other half sticks around. Post did it to themselves.

I wonder if newspapers died because they kept recycling paper instead of using virgin forest for the finest news that was fit to print. This is what news used to look like before newspapers started to die off.

How weak minded are these people, though? I know the answer is very, and it's sad that most of the country is the same. But it also gives some hope that if the national/mainstream media ever gets fixed, we'll have sanity in the country again.
