Maybe, but he doesn't stop making money while he is in Costco.

Im not shocked by this. Im shocked there's no visible security in the photo.

If I ever struck it rich (like even millions not BILLIONS) I'd want a few things:

Summer Home
Winter Home
2 Cars
Best Man Cave Ever
Saints Box in the Superdome
Pelicans Box in the Arena

The rest of the money would be set up into trusts and investments so that a family member of mine whom carries my blood will never ever have to worry about a dime again.

Im not the traveling type. I dont care to visit every shithole on this planet.

Exactly, he is wasting a lot of time that could be spent spying on people.

He probably wanted to be able to view the TVs before purchase. Probably had zero to do with penny pinching and everything to do with actually testing out the TV.

There isn't a phone camera on earth that takes pictures that shitty anymore.

This guy knows what's up ^

Zuckerberg is doing this either for the media, Facebook shareholders, or his employees.

You dont really get better tv deals online, best buy and Costco and the like really have the best prices. The cables and accessories are more where they get you

Because people are stupid and think that at that level, he should act like a rapper and carry a bundle of cash and hold it to his ear.

Or wear stupid flash jewelry and drive over the top flashy cars.

And without a doubt, walk around with an entourage

there's a LOT at Costco that too rich for my blood.

I'd love to be able to walk in there & buy the name brand stuff on them Costco shelves.

Kirkland for life, baby!

Jewish people are notorious for being penny pinchers.

Also, why is this shocking? I think people underestimate how much you can save if you're not an idiot with money.

Thought: rich people spend their money at a whim
Reality: rich people are mostly rich because they don’t spend their money, thus, they have money.

My last TV was from Best Buy for that exact reason. Price was about the same from Amazon and I would have to lug it from work then home and up 3 flights of stairs.

Best Buy delivered it, and took away an old 200 pound tv.

And Costco? I mean, I could understand Best Buy, but Costco? Feels like a publicity stunt...

Of course it is. When you are worth $50B+ everything "leaked" to the public is highly calculated. You have teams of public image consultants, lawyers, public relation staff in house, etc. They do nothing but continue to monitor the marketplace and your image within and devise strategies to improve.

Is there anything wrong with that? Absolutely not.

It's their money so they can do what they want.

I understand the premise of getting to where he is by being frugal, but being a billionaire, I feel like the time spent trying to save money on something like electronics isn't worth it and that time would be more valuable if spent elsewhere.

That's just me though.
