Bill Gates said in an interview a few years ago that he shops the same way.

Back in the 80's when he first became a billionaire but wasn't quite as well known, one of the business magazines (I think Forbes) did a story on him where he said he would only fly coach. And, he insisted that all other Microsoft execs fly coach as well. As I recall, it was simply to save money. They actually had a picture of him working on an airplane in coach.

After he became famous, I think it became more of a security issue so he "broke down" and finally bought a private jet. Although, and I again, as I recall, it was a used jet.

I remember reading that JFK never carried cash and, as a result, would mooch off people to buy him lunch and dinner.

It's why we need to tax the hell out of them and kick it back to the people in need.

The real trickle down economics.

You could drop a few more 0s on the end of my paycheck tomorrow and I'd still shop at Costco.

Yeah, not hating on him. I’m sure it’s for a reason.

Security cleared the store, someone took a staged photo, Zuck gets in a limo and hauls arse

To what end though? Are we supposed to believe he is one of us?

I feel like the time spent trying to save money on something like electronics isn't worth it and that time would be more valuable if spent elsewhere.

Maybe he just likes going to Costco. Just because his time is valuable doesn't mean he is doing something to earn or save $$ every minute of the day

I doubt they cleared the store, as that would get leaked and not fit the narrative.

And lol at riding in a limo...this isn’t 1983!

It has long been thought that he would run for office, this plants a seed that he’s a “normal” guy.
